EDUCATE

Quinteto Latino is made up of five passionate Teaching Artists who are as dedicated to community engagement as to traditional concertizing. We have performed literally hundreds of free concerts in elementary schools, middle schools, libraries, community centers, and senior centers throughout Northern California.

Our residencies have involved extended work in settings including Oakland School for the Arts (a public charter middle and high school arts magnet), Enriching Lives through Music (San Rafael, CA), Teatro Pregrones (South Bronx, NY), and MACLA/Movimiento de Arte y Cultura Latino Americana (San Jose, CA).

Our educational programs are fun and interactive, and can be appropriately tailored for age groups from K-8 and for English Language Learners.

  • "Cuentos y Cantos/Stories and Songs"
a tour of folk tales and tunes from across Mexico and Latin America

  • "Raices de Nuestra Musica/Our Musical Roots" a celebration of cultural awareness and pride
