Midwest Tour
Quad City Arts, Rock Island, IL

Quinteto Latino will be on tour in the midwest next February hosting a series of workshops, performance engagement activities, and a public concert as a visiting artist contributing to the Performing Arts Signature Series (PASS) presented by the Quad City Arts Council.

University Performance Event
Cal State University Monterey Bay, Marina, CA

In a collaborative event for visiting artists at CSUMB, the Quintet will be on campus for a few days working with student musicians in masterclasses, workshops and community events that culminate in an exciting public performance at the World Theater.

April 2017

Community Concert Series
Half Moon Bay/Foster City, CA

The Quintet will perform a series of 2 concerts brought to fruition by a collaborative group of presenting organizations (The Foster City Library System, Foster City Parks and Recreation, and Music Teacher’s Association of California--San Mateo Chapter). One concert will be geared toward children and feature Quinteto Latino’s latest interactive assembly program, while the other will take a more general audience into account. Both are exciting opportunities for these local areas!

2016-2017 School Year

Selby Lane School Partnership
Atherton, CA

Quinteto Latino has begun a partnership Selby Lane School thanks to the school's strong support, and with a little help from the San Mateo County Arts Commission Project-Based Grant. The school will receive classroom visits from Armando (taught in both English and Spanish) as well as an intensive assembly series with the full Quintet that will bring culturally connective curriculum, student interactivity, and an in depth exploration of the creative process to grades K-6.

December 9 2016 --
School Assembly  - Selby Lane School
Atherton, CA

In the first of two concert events that will be completed during the 2016-2017 school year, Quinteto Latino visited Selby Lane Elementary School to perform their program “Raices de Nuestra Musica/Our Musical Roots" in a series of 3 performances that included the entire student body


October 6 - 10  2016 --
National Tour- University of Maryland
College Park, MD

Quinteto Latino went on tour in October 2016 to bring the sounds of Latin America to The University of Maryland, College Park. The University hosted the quintet as part of the college performing arts program put on by The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. While there they let workshops, classroom sessions, a student-composed performance event, community outreach events, and a Formal concert.


September 30 2016 --
Channing House Community Concert
Palo Alto, CA

In this event presented for residents at Channing House, Palo Alto, residents of the retirement facility were treated to a special afternoon featuring  the Quintet's Formal Concert program.


January-May 2016--
E.L.M. Residency
San Rafael, CA

Quintet members were in residence for a second season with the Enriching Lives through Music Saturday program for young musicians in San Rafael. This time the Quintet collaborated with L.A. composer, Chris Garcia to create a unique experience for E.L.M. Students.


March-May 2016 --
River Glen School Residency
San Jose, CA

Quinteto Latino joined Armando Castellano (French Horn Player and Teaching Artist) at the dual immersion River Glen School in San Jose as a culmination to focused music lessons for 3-5 grade classes there. .


May 26, 2016 --
School Concerts-Peninsula Symphony
1) Hoover School, Redwood City, CA
2) Taft Elementary, Redwood City, CA
3) Costano Elementary, Palo Alto, CA

The Quintet performed three concerts at local schools on the Peninsula as part of Peninsula Symphony’s “Bridges to Music” program.
