About Quinteto Latino and the Artist Fellows Program

Founded in 2004, Quinteto Latino is a San Francisco Bay Area wind quintet dedicated to showcasing Latino composers and engaging diverse communities through music. Through its performance and advocacy work, the ensemble presents classical music by Latino/a/e artists, building bridges that connect audiences to diverse musical traditions.

In order to deepen Quinteto Latino's community and education impact, the Quinteto Latino Artist Fellows Program was created in 2023. This program supports emerging musicians who are passionate about community engagement, education, and culturally diverse classical music repertoire, while helping them develop their voice as advocates for the Latino community within the classical music field.

Quinteto Latino artists mentor the Fellows to help them bring interactive performances and music education experiences to schools and community spaces throughout the Bay Area. In addition, opportunities for teaching artistry and arts administration will be provided.
