The Bay Area's Opera Cultura presents ¡Chicanísima! in association with Quinteto Latino. Following the sold-out premiere in 2024, we're excited to revisit Carla Lucero's brilliant one-act opera about political activist Olga Talamante.

In 1975, renowned Chicano artist Malaquías Montoya created a silkscreen poster to help free Olga Talamante from an Argentine prison. Three fists gripping barbed wire.
